Vocabulary Work

In this video I introduce a vocabulary activity that students will complete in pairs. Students are following along in-person and at home. This was followed by 30 minutes of student work time during which I circulated the room and checked in with remote students.
Breakout Room Discussions

In this video, we attempt to promote student to student interactions in Zoom breakout rooms. Students are given sentence starters and explicit instructions on how to carry out a discussion as they complete an activity about memory.
Vocabulary Talk

Students use new vocabulary to discuss issues relevant to them. This connects directly to the text they will listen to the next day.
